Budget Talk: or, what would YOU do with $10,000,000?

If you were one of the (at last tally and according to YouTube) 88 people who have streamed Monday night's School Committee meeting, I commend your interest in the Attleboro Public Schools. This meeting was reasonably important, because the Governor has released her proposed State budget, which forms the basis…

Onward, 2024!

Onward, 2024! Tomorrow, I join Attleboro School Committee, representing Ward 3. Despite chronic underfunding, our schools excel due to dedicated staff and a supportive community. However, the thin financial margin poses risks—preventing long-term planning and relying heavily on a few key performers. To address this, I will collaborate with City Councilor Todd Kobus and advocate for state-level assistance. Yet, the ultimate decision rests with Attleboro's citizens. Tough choices are ahead, but I'm confident our community will prioritize our children's education and lift our schools from the bottom 10%. Let's forge a brighter future; our children deserve it.

DoubleACS Candidate Statement

I think by this point in the campaign pretty much everyone knows what I bring to the table and what I stand for, so I thought I'd write a love letter to the city of Attleboro. I had a blast working with the good folks are DoubleACS. Hope you enjoy…

Dave Kane, the Legend!

I didn't run for School Committee to be on the front page -- I did it because I think the School Committee needs reasonable, hard working people like me -- but…

I’m on the radio!

I had a blast on Paul Healy's show Friday morning. He's an interesting person and we went all over the place, from leather helmet football to Phish, and he was even kind enough to ask me some really good questions about why I'm running and what I think the School…

Promises

I promise to be a voice on the School Committee that is: Independent: I am not a member of any political party and I’m not interested in making political points. I’m only doing this because it’s the best way I can help the city I love. I’m in it to…

Why I’m Running

As a lifelong Attleboro resident, a child of a career AHS teacher, and a parent of two kids in the Attleboro public school system, I am deeply committed to seeing the schools here work for all kids as well as they worked for myself and my family. As a little…
